Holidays Un/Rushed?

Published: Sat, 11/11/17

Hi ,

Everywhere I go, people are rushed, stressed, and overwhelmed.

That's why you noticed in last week's tip (this one too), I'm encouraging you to use the holidays as a gift that you give yourself to slow down.

So let's talk about movies. We love them. And this is the best time of year to indulge with so many classics from which to choose.

Consider a date night movie marathon of your holiday favorites.

If you decide to go out, why not indulge and do a double feature?

Make a night of it with delicious food and a couple of fun movies you'll both enjoy.

Eating before hand gives you the best of both worlds because you'll have a chance to enjoy friendly conversation.

Keep your mood in mind, though when choosing what to watch.

If you’ve been feeling a little depressed or lonely, please don’t see a depressing movie. Pick something that’ll lighten your mood! This isn’t the time for Sophie's Choice.

But that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t choose something inspiring like the all-time classic It’s A Wonderful Life either.

Make this a stress-free, FUN night.

Arrive in plenty of time to get some popcorn and find your favorite seats.

Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to relax, relax, relax, laugh, maybe cry a little bit, and then relax some more.

Movie nights, whether out or in, are a fun date that fits easily into busy schedules. And this is the PERFECT time of year to kick your feet up and relax with the people you love hanging out with.

Until next time, this is Mike Tucker and I want YOU to be mad about marriage!
