Dear
,
People from all around the world are reading this. For some, it’s summer. Others, winter. But it's Christmas everywhere.
So, what does Christmas mean to you?
For me, it means one thing: Love.
Unconditional love.
Unfailing love.
Love that gives.
Love that reaches out…
heals…
forgives…
restores…
gives…
connects…
believes…
Love that never loses hope during life’s darkest night, long before dawn wipes sleep from its eyes.
Christmas is a time of joy and laughter for many. But I know
it’s bittersweet and empty for others; my heart is with them and I want them to know that it gets better, so please don’t surrender to the darkness.
Here’s my tip for you this week: Give yourself the gift of slowing down these next few days to savor the moment; celebrate love new and old, and make memories. Consider how blessed you are (and if you don’t feel blessed, look around and see if there’s a way you can be a blessing).
Put your favorite sweater on and sit beside the fire
with a mug of hot chocolate, or on the beach in your shorts and sandals with a cold soft drink, to think about the gifts God has given that money cannot buy - gifts that nobody can take from you no matter where you are in the world.
And most of all, may the love of Christmas warm your heart with grace as it breathes new life and hope into your soul.
Until next time, this is Mike Tucker and I want YOU to be mad about marriage!
