Gayle Tucker, well-known television personality, pastor, author, and
counselor credited with lighting a fire under thousands of marriages,
died less than a month after learning that she had pancreatic cancer.
She was
60.
Gayle was the associate speaker of the Faith For Today television
ministry and co-host of its popular flagship television program Lifestyle
Magazine.
She died on Sunday, April 10, at her home in Dallas, Texas.
On Sunday night, Mike Tucker, Speaker and Director of Faith for Today,
and husband to Gayle for 40 years, made this statement on Facebook:
“I’m sorry to announce that Gayle Tucker passed away late this afternoon.
She was surrounded by family and died
peacefully.”
Mike Tucker turned to social media to chronicle his wife’s brief struggle
with pancreatic cancer and to underscore that their faith would remain
strong no matter what happened.
He announced the discovery of the cancer on March 19. “Two weeks ago
Gayle began having strokes. She had zero stroke risk factors and yet she
had strokes,” he wrote in the Facebook post. “It took almost a week and a
half of MRI's CT scans and more before they figured it out. Gayle has
pancreatic cancer that has spread to her liver.
This cancer can cause strokes."
At one point during this difficult journey, Mike shared, “While medicine has
no cure for this condition, we know the Master Physician and trust Him,” he
said. “We will accept His will whatever it may be.”
Mike & Gayle were partners in ministry for forty years.
They were humbled by the sacred privilege to encourage and inspire millions
of people worldwide.
Mike will continue as the speaker and director of Faith for Today. And
he will continue holding
seminars and speaking events to encourage hearts
and uplift souls. The Lifestyle Magazine television program will continue
airing weekly.
Mad About Marriage will continue, too, along with the weekly relationship tips.

PS - We don’t know how much time we have. And the time
we do have we often take for granted. If there’s something
that needs to be said, say it now. If there’s a hug to give,
give it today. If there’s an “I love you” you’ve been putting
off, be brave and say it anyway. If there's a call to make
or a letter to write, do it now. And if things are bad, as
they sometimes are, be thankful for the opportunity you
have to make them better. Make the most of today.
