Have you ever felt as if your life doesn't matter?
Has anyone ever made you feel like you're a very
small cog in a very big machine?
Everyone wants their life to matter.
We all have a need for significance.
We want people to notice us that we...exist.
We need connection.
When couples connect they experience genuine power.
When they fail to connect, the results are devastating.
Things as simple as touch, eye contact, time together, and focusing
on one another’s positive attributes will strengthen a couple's bond.
Connection opens the door for other parts of the relationship to flourish.
Communication becomes easier, laughter and joy are common,
couples are better able to makes allowances for differences of
personality or opinion, they are more open to physical intimacy, and
problem solving becomes a team endeavor rather than a competition
for control.
How connected do you feel to your spouse?
Are you making them feel in any way that they don't really matter?
Do you think you've done or said something that's made them
feel insignificant to you?
Everyone wants their life to matter to someone.
Choose to connect to your partner this week in a way
that makes them feel special, and
communicates they
matter to you
Until next time, this is Mike & Gayle Tucker and we
want you to be mad about
marriage!
