A Dangerous Marriage Trap

Published: Fri, 03/27/15

Hi ,

There’s a sneaky little marriage trap that’s so powerful and enchanting that it’s like a moth to a flame; it's irresistible, at least to some spouses.

It seems so innocent at first, but it causes so much pain and trouble.

And as is so often the case, spouses who fall into this trap are tortured by overwhelming feelings of guilt and regret.

For many couples, it even leads to the ending of their marriage.

Here it is:

A hurting spouse seeks emotional comfort in the arms of a friend

of the opposite sex.

Despite how great this might feel in the moment, it’s a BIG mistake because it’s a breeding ground for emotional and physical infidelity.

Obviously it’s okay to seek help from a marriage counselor of the opposite sex; that’s different because he or she is a trained professional who is neutral and will conduct themselves appropriately in their interactions with you.

Otherwise, don’t, and I repeat, don’t get “advice” or seek sympathy from someone of the opposite sex about your marriage - even if they're very near & dear to you; you’re flirting with fire.

It creates a very emotional situation that misleads your heart because you'll think to yourself: This feels right

But it isn't. It's just an illusion.

So do the right thing.

Avoid this marriage trap. Protect yourself and your marriage.

You will be glad you did.

Until next time, this is Mike & Gayle Tucker and we want YOU

to be mad about marriage!
