Marriage Troubles?

Published: Fri, 02/20/15

Hi ,

Dissatisfied with your marriage?

Frustrated with your relationship?

Thinking about calling it quits?

If so, here's what you need to do:

Sop managing symptoms and start treating

core causes.

The following tips will help you to get to the bottom of

the issue(s) so you can understand the underlying

problems that are harming your relationship.

(If your marriage is awesome, you might consider sharing

these tips with a friend whose marriage might not be as

"awesome" as yours.)

1. Don't be desperate.

Why? Because desperation repels and pushes away your spouse.
So stay calm and take charge of your emotions.

2. Don't beg if your partner has already left.
Begging your partner to come back makes things worse. It's better,
and much more effective, to demonstrate how much you genuinely
love and care for them instead.

3. Focus on commonalities.
Find common ground; be willing to compromise.
After all, we vowed to support our spouse through challenging times.
Compromise helps make this possible.

4. Be understanding even whey they're being unreasonable.
Why? Because this minimizes conflict and leads to fewer arguments.
Understanding each other is a marital priority of happy marriages.

5. Don’t nag or pester you partner.
No one likes to be badgered. But unfortunately, some people
always complain or find fault with everything. To have a happy marriage,
choose to ignore the unimportant stuff and focus on what really matters.

6. Don’t be jealous.
Believe it or not, many married people are jealous of their spouses.
If your partner is progressing both socially and professionally, be happy for them.
On the other hand, if your partner isn’t doing so well, encourage them and
show how much you still believe in them.

7. During arguments, be kind.
Always try to stay calm. Anger makes people say hurtful things
that they regret later. There are two kinds of heat in marriage:
1) The kind that burns and, 2) The kind that builds.

These seven tips will help you and your spouse understand each
other better so you can focus on the underlying problem(s).

Implementing these tips creates a communicative environment that

is kind, supportive and understanding, AND a marital environment

where trust, belonging and hope live again.

When this happens, you and your spouse will never dream of ever

wanting to be with anyone else but each other.

Until next time, this is Mike & Gayle Tucker and we want you

to be mad about marriage!
