(Prayer)

Dear ,

What role should prayer have in keeping a
marriage strong - or in saving a marriage?

First of all, just let me say that I believe prayer
strengthens marriage and creates an environment of
warmth and grace.

There's something, dare I say
..."magical" about a
husband & wife who pray together
for one another

But I realize prayer makes some people feel awkward
and
uncomfortable. So here's a prayer I teach people to
use
when working to save/strengthen their marriage:

"Father God, we invite your love and grace into our hearts.
Bless us with divine wisdom.
And please help us to heal
our relationship and save our marriage. In your name
we pray.
Amen."

This is so powerful that when two people join together
in prayer difficult situations can be turned around.

If you and your spouse share the same faith, then discuss
praying together and let them know you'd like to give
prayer a try (even spouses who don't consider themselves
particularly "spiritual" are often open to prayer).

I firmly believe in my heart that prayer can save a
marriage. I also believe that prayer can make your
marriage even better even if you think that you're
marriage is
already great.

So do whatever it takes to have a healthy & happy
relationship with your spouse.

And do whatever it takes to save your marriage if your
relationship has been going through rocky times...and
let it begin with prayer.

Until next time this is Mike & Gayle Tucker and we
want you to be mad about marriage!
