It's Mike and Gayle Tucker with a quick mad about
marriage
tip we really think you're going to like.

But first we need to ask you a couple questions:

How much do you respect your spouse?

And, do you feel your spouse respects you?

The answers to those questions might be more
complicated than the simplicity of the question
implies.

Here are some ways that respect is shown and
communicated:

1. Lis
tening to your mate without judging.
2. Disagreeing without being disagreeable.
3. Gentleness demonstrated in word and deed.

So, how about now - do you and your spouse
respect each other?

Let's delve a little deeper. Here are some ways
we express disrespect to our spouses:

1) Tone of voice.
2) Body language.
3) Rolling our eyes.
4) Frustrated sighs.
5) The actual words we use.

Based on these things, how respectful is your
relationship with your spouse?

To what degree do you see a lack of respect based
on these two lists Gayle and I have shared?

Listen, it's not our intent to beat you up or make you feel bad.
Every relationship has its challenges - and every marriage can
be improved.

So, in this coming week, which of these three simple ways of
showing respect will you choose to start doing more of?

1) Will it be listening without judging?
2) Disagreeing without being disagreeable?
3) Demonstrating more gentleness?

Just choose one and get started!

Until next week, this is Mike and Gayle Tucker and we want
you to be mad about marriage!
