Hi there - it's Mike & Gayle, What are your thoughts about spirituality in marriage? Would you say it's a pretty important topic?
What about your children - how important is it to you for them to grow
up with a solid spiritual foundation? When the day comes that they leave home, do you hope they would choose to be involved a local faith community group? If you do, then consider this research. According to researchers, children who are most likelyto attend church as adults, live in homes where bothparents attend regularly & LIVE their faith at home.
Children model what you do not what you say. So if spirituality is important to you, then model it for your kids. They expect to see congruence between your words and actions. *** If you're nice, warm and friendly with your friends atchurch, then they expect you to be nice, warm and
friendly at home. If you are "spiritual" at church, then they expect you tobe spiritual at home. This week, Gayle and I encourage you to be a spiritualleader in your family. What does it mean to be a spiritual leader in your home? Herea few thoughts to get you started: -

- Take your family to church regularly
- Take your kids by the hand and pray with them

What is the spiritual health of your home? And
what is one thing you can do in the coming days to improve it? You might start by taking a few minutes today to pray and seek God's guidance. Start here. Follow His leading. And everything will be all right. Until next week, this is Mike & Gayle Tucker and we want YOU to be Mad About Marriage! |
