Studies indicate that the average couple spends only 20
minutes of quality time a day together. Not counting eating,
sleeping, chores, etc.
How much quality time do you and your spouse take for
each other daily?
More than 20 minutes?
Less?
Couples in healthy marriages need at least 15 hours of
quality time together weekly.
Those in struggling marriages need 20.
This is too important to gloss over, so let's pause for a
moment of thoughtful reflection and ask the obvious
question:
In which direction do you think your marriage is heading
if you and your spouse are only spending 20 minutes a
day or less together?
Is that the direction you want to go? And is that the kind
of relationship you want to have?
Spending only 20 minutes a day together is a recipe
for emotional distance and the death of intimacy. And I
know that's not what you want.
So let's keep this marriage tip short & simple:
Find a way this weekend to spend as much quality time
as you can with your spouse to start turning things around
for a stronger, warmer & happier relationship.
Until next week, this is Mike & Gayle Tucker and
we want you to be mad about marriage!
