Prescription For Unhappy Couples

Published: Fri, 02/22/13

Hi ,

Warning: I have something to tell you that could be
the last thing that you want to hear.

And there's a great chance it will either frustrate or
overwhelm you because you're a very busy person.

I'm not sure if you will even believe me.

But here it goes anyway:

For unhappy couples who are in troubled marriages
that are heading for divorce, or very easily could be,
they require 20 hrs a week, or more, alone together
to turn things around.

**** This is time alone together. ****

No kids. No friends. No family.

Just time to meet each others' needs.

Most people are probably wondering: "20 hours?
Where are we going to find 20 hours!"

If that's what you're wondering then you of all
people need to do whatever it takes to find the
time to save your marriage before it's too late.

Lack of time together is one of the major things
that propels married couples down the pathway
to divorce or into perpetual marital unhappiness.

I'm pretty sure that we could free up quite a few
of those hours by adjusting our TV and Internet
and social media time, for starters.

Oh, and by the way, happy couples require 15
hours of alone time together to maintain a
happy marriage.

I encourage you and your spouse to put each
other first.

At the end of the day, the kids will grow up and
leave; jobs will come and go; but what you have
with your husband or wife is forever.

So why not be intentional about your marriage
and take the time you need to have a strong,
happy and healthy relationship?

After all, what's more important, keeping
up with what's happening with the Bachelor or
American Idol, or keeping up with your best
friend and soul mate?

Until next week, this is Mike and Gayle Tucker
and we're mad about marriage!
