Has your marriage lost its spark?
Is the fire gone?
Is your relationship filled with routine,
monotony, and predictability?
Do you want (or even crave) more passion?
One of the most common complaints shared
by couples is that the passion is gone.
How does this happen?
Is it automatic?
Is this just the way things are, that after a few
years of marriage we are destined to endure a
passionless relationship until "death do us part?"
I sure hope not.
In fact, I believe the exact opposite.
Your marriage is just as passionate or passionless
as you choose for it to be.
There are at least seven ways you can "re-spark" your
marriage beginning today. I wrote about
them over at the Mad About Marriage blog
today:
But we have time for just one in this week's tip:
Have the same bedtime (when possible), for
nighttime sharing.
Shut everything off.
Block out the world.
Your relationship is more important than
reruns, emails, Dancing With The Stars,
America's Got Talent, FB & Twitter,
surfing, etc. (you get the picture).
This is your time.
So talk. Hold each other close. Enjoy
each others' physical company if the
moment strikes.
But most of all, just spend a few minutes
sharing about what happened that day;
share you concerns, hopes, dreams, worries.
Use this special time to get to know each
other again - to be friends...and then to be
more than friends.
This is just one simple way you can "re-spark"
your marriage.
